Who is responsible

What we receive
Your name, email, location, interests, availability, introduction and CV or CV link, along with any optional phone number, background and portfolio you provide. Internship applications also include your preferred duration and weekly availability.
Do not send identity documents, bank details, health records or other sensitive personal information in this form. If an adjustment is needed, contact the People team for an appropriate way to discuss it.
Why we use it
We use your information to review your expression of interest, communicate with you and take steps you request before a possible employment or placement agreement. Our lawful bases are steps before entering a contract and our legitimate interests in operating a fair, secure recruitment process. Legal obligations may apply at a later stage.
The privacy checkbox acknowledges this notice. It is not consent to marketing or to an indefinite talent pool. We do not make recruitment decisions solely by automated processing.
Who receives your application
The form sends your application to people@linfenglabs.uk and copies linfenglabs@outlook.com for recruitment review. Access is intended for the People team and authorised people involved in considering your application.
Cloudflare and the Sites hosting service process the form to operate and protect the website. Resend delivers the application email; Cloudflare and Microsoft provide the receiving email infrastructure. Your uploaded CV is sent as an email attachment. The website does not publish CVs or provide public attachment URLs.
These providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where required, we use applicable contractual or other recognised safeguards for international transfers. Contact us for information about the arrangements relevant to your application.
Security and submission records
The website processes your IP address to prevent abuse and stores keyed hashes for submission limits. It also keeps a submission reference, a hash of the application, a timestamp and an email-service reference so retries can be handled safely. It does not keep a separate database copy of your CV or application text.
Submission-limit records expire after up to 24 hours. Receipt records are retained for up to 30 days; expired records are cleared during later application processing. Infrastructure providers may retain their own proportionate security logs.
How long we keep applications
Applications in the recruitment mailboxes are normally retained for up to six months after the recruitment conversation concludes, unless a legal obligation or dispute requires longer retention. If you join the company, necessary information becomes part of your employment or placement record under a separate notice.
We will ask separately before retaining your details for a future talent pool beyond the recruitment purpose. You can ask us to withdraw your application or delete information where applicable.
Your rights and questions
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access, correct, erase or restrict your information, object to certain processing, or receive portable data. Email corporate@linfenglabs.uk and include your application reference if available.
